Meet the Ram 1500 REV: The Official Name for the Brand’s New Electric Truck

It won't be the "Revolution", as the concept was named

The former Ram Revolution is now officially known as the Ram 1500 REV.

Honestly, I was worried that Stellantis would stick with the Revolution name. Fortunately, today the company officially named its production electric pickup the Ram 1500 REV. Stellantis will unveil more information about the Ram 1500 REV on Super Bowl Sunday, February 12.

For those of you who don’t know, the upcoming Ram 1500 REV is a fully electric vehicle. It will be the debut for a new platform for Stellantis. Similar to the Chevrolet Silverado EV, and the Ford F-150 Lightning, Ram’s offering will add unique tech to the segment.

Even though TFLtruck and TFLEV gains early access to the concept, we were never able to figure out many of the specifics. Many technical details have been omitted, or simply teased. However, we should get much more clarity soon, if not during the Super Bowl.

“At Ram, we started a revolution last year as we invited consumers along on the beginning of our electrification journey, gathering their feedback on exactly what they are looking for in an electric pickup truck. We look forward to delivering our first EV pickup – the all-new Ram 1500 REV – to those consumers next year. We are confident the Ram 1500 REV will push past the competition, offering what will be the leading combination of attributes customers care about the most: range, payload, towing and charge time.”

Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO

According to Stellantis, production of the REV will begin next year. They say the pickup will be formally revealed to the public in the coming months. We expect a ton of information soon.
