The new Ford F-150 Lightning Pro base model is an all-electric pickup truck, but it also happens to be one of the most affordable AWD electric vehicles on sale in the USA. The lowest 2022 Lightning Pro starting price is around $42,000 – while many of these models have a sticker price of around $45,000 with a few options. This version of the lighting has a smaller 98 kWh battery, which means this truck is also a bit lighter than most other EV pickups. How quick is it at the drag strip? Jeramie Schall sent us this video clip and information. It’s surprisingly quick!

The Lightning Pro is equipped with two electric motors (one in the front and one in the rear). The combined horsepower is listed at 452 HP. Take a look at the time slip below. It shows a 12.717 second 1/4-mile run at 105.77 MPH. This is at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado at around one mile above sea level.

Yes, the Lightning Pro still loses the drag race to the Rivian R1T. The Rivian pickup is equipped with four electric motors for a combined 830 HP.

Here is the really surprising part. Our F-150 Lighting Lariat with a larger and heavier battery pack and a power rating of 580 HP ran a slightly slower 12.811 second 1/4-mile at the same track (but on a different day).
