Toyota says that the first production models of the 2023 Toyota Sequoia are rolling off the company’s assembly plant near San Antonio, Texas. They feature this Solar Octane TRD Pro model and show a short video of it inside their factory. See below for key snapshots of the build process and sneak a peek behind the skin of the new Sequoia.

The new and fully redesigned Sequoia is based on the TNGA-F platform that also underpins the new Toyota Tundra pickup truck. This allows it to be built at the same factory as the Tundra. The Sequoia is still a body-on-frame three-row SUV. Every new Sequoia is powered by the new 3.5-liter V6 gas/electric hybrid (437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque) powertrain that includes a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Here are several images that show how it comes together.

The 2023 Sequoia 2WD starts at $59,895 including destination charges. The TRD Pro 4×4 model starts at $78,495 and includes most high-tech and luxurious features that are available in the new Sequoia.
