Check it out – the all-new 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison truck is official. Chevrolet has just released this teaser video that shows the new Bison truck with a few details. The Colorado ZR2 Bison will get a bigger brother when it is fully revealed later this summer. The Silverado Bison is a collaboration between AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) and General Motors.
In the front, the Silverado ZR2 Bison has a massive new AEV bumper with built-in fog lamps. The upper two grille bars are painted body color on the Bison. This differentiates it from a standard Silverado ZR2.
Chevrolet also shows underneath the new truck. There are many very strong skid plates that AEV is known for. There is a difference with the Silverado because most of the skid plates are shaped with many openings. Chevy did not disclose weight specifications or any numbers with this teaser. I am assuming the skid plates are designed this way to save as much weight as possible. We are not sure if these skid plates are made of boron steel alloy or some other material. No matter what – this will be one tough off-road pickup truck.
Will Chevy put a supercharged V8 engine under its hood? We sure hope so! The new 2023 Cadillac Escalade V has a new 682-horsepower supercharged 6.2L V8 engine.
