We waited for a long time, but the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade V is finally here. The company officially expands its V-series lineup to the popular full-size Escalade. Cadillac does not reveal the specifications of what is under the hood, but we get to see two different versions of this high-powered people mover.

The rumor is that a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 will be under the hood of this new Escalade. We anticipate that this engine will produce in the neighborhood of 650 horsepower. We will have to wait until about May 2022 to learn more details. If the Escalade V indeed packs 650 horsepower, it will outgun the likes of the current Aston Martic DBX, Lamborghini Urus, and many other ultra-luxury SUVs.

GM showed a supercharged V8-powered concept off-road truck at the 2021 SEMA Show – the Chevy Beast. It had an LT4 V8 with 650 horsepower. If this truck-ready engine is coming to production for the Escalade – why not put it into a Chevy Silverado ZRX (or a similar pickup truck)?
