It offers special touches inside and out.

2022 ford ranger splash features specs

The Ford Ranger Splash is back for the 2022 model year and here is everything that’s included. The original Ford Ranger Splash launched in the early 1990s. It was a two-door regular cab with a short step-side bed. Fast forward almost 30 years, and the fun name returns with the following features.

Ford submitted a trademark application for the “Splash” name back in June 2021. Now, we can see how they plan to use the name.

The 2022 Ranger Splash will be offered on crew cab XLT or Lariat models. It all starts out with this orange exterior color, unique 18-inch wheels with a matte-black finish, orange grille inserts, orange interior details, and a bodyside graphic. It is an appearance package that can be combined with an FX2 or FX4 off-road package.

The interior touches include orange stitching on the dash, on the steering wheel, on the transmission shifter, on the front and rear seats. It’s interesting to note that it does not say “Splash” anywhere on this truck (inside or out). The Ranger Splash from the 1990s had a Splash decal on the tailgate.

It all starts with this orange theme, but more limited color options will come later. Ford says that a Splash Snow Edition package is coming a little later. There will be several of these limited number Splash color packages in 2022. Ford plans to offer several hundred of each of these Limited edition trucks.

The Ranger Splash appearance package will retail for $1,495 and will be available by the end of 2021.
