Don’t Try This At Home! We Turned A Clapped Out Ford F-150 Into A CRAZY Homemade Redneck Wrecker: Video

Six Shooter's back again!

Using basic physics, a partially junked Ford-F150 and backwoods ingenuity; we now have a remarkably dangerous redneck wrecker.

It may be a redneck wrecker, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a dangerous toy with questionable capability. Our old project/parts-donor pickup trick, the Ford F-150 “Six shooter,” now has a new purpose in life, it’s a hoist/cheery-picker/ redneck wrecker. On more than one occasion, Six Shooter has been subjected to barnyard hijinks. Now, with the help of TFLtruck’s buddy Dan, it has become something unique.

At least, it’s now more unique than it was when we transformed it into a flatbed hay-hauler.

Six Shooter was a 1990 Ford F-150 we bought for $900. Granted, that was before the current bubble in used truck prices inflated. Still, it was pretty rough. Fortunately, it came with the stout 300 cubic inch straight-six gas engine and a strong backbone. The whole initial purpose of the truck was to serve as a parts vehicle for Project Gun Smoke – which it partially did. The thing is: it was in such good condition, we opted to keep it as a plaything.

In this video, that statement seems pretty obvious.

We know the redneck wrecker can haul an 800 or 1,000-pound log, but…

Because we didn’t think that imminent danger and catastrophic failure were potential issues, the boys opted to take it up Yak-off Hill. Keep in mind, this is where projector Six Shooter failed int the past. Ah, but as they all pointed out, the truck now has a lot of weight over the rear wheels. What could possibly go wrong?

In this video, watch as Andre marvels at the epic lunacy of the redneck wrecker, along with David, Tommy, Dan, Kase – and the yaks. You will see the genesis of the idea, how (and why) Dave and Dan came up with the idea and you’ll see it in action too!
