Next weekend, Goodguys 11th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals will find truck lovers heading to Fort Worth, Texas at the Texas Motor Speedway. For the first time ever, this event will expand its showcase of hot rods and classic cars and trucks to OBS pickups from 1987-1998 (i.e. square-body Chevy’s and GMC’s). The move heralds a new chapter–and new generation–of trucks and is sure to raise national interest in these new classics. The Spring Lone Star Nationals continue the truck love (this is Texas, after all) with an all-new Ultimate Truck Showcase featuring an autocross shootout, truck-specific vendors and swap meet, truck-only cruise around the Speedway’s 1.44-mile oval, and special truck-only parking areas. At the end of the show, the Builder’s Choice Top 10 Trucks of the weekend will be selected by Hill’s Hot Rods.

Car lovers will have a blast as well. The Lone Star Nationals draws north of 2,000 1987 and older hot rods, customs, muscle cars, and classics. More than 100 vendors will be there on top of the event’s swap meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral. The weekend features a Nitro Thunderfest Vintage Dragster exhibition, and the aforementioned autocross is also open to cars. There’s a Burnout Competition for those looking for an excuse to ruin an old set of tires and get new ones for the upcoming year. Kids can have fun in the free Kids Zone, and live entertainment will keep the speedway rockin’ all weekend long.
