GMC releases footage of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV truck prototype doing some drifting and donuts in the snow. This footage shows an early prototype at the GM proving grounds. The video shows the truck’s four-wheel-drive power delivery, four-wheel steering, and the special Crab Walk feature.
GM says that it built prototype trucks that will be tested in the real world at their facilities and on public roads. This is one of those exercises. The first Edition 1 trucks that should go on sale in the Fall 2021 (according to GMC) will be equipped with three electric motors (two in the rear and one in the front) for 4×4 capability and a total of 1,000 horsepower.
In addition to the four-wheel steering capability, the new Hummer EV truck will also be equipped with height-adjustable air suspension and ability to lock its differential for maximum traction.
