When comparing the first quarter 2020 midsize truck sales in the United States against what happened last year, all the brands that reported so far are down. 2020 – Q1 Midsize Trucks

Q1 2020 was a tale of two markets in the midsize truck segment. Relatively new trucks such as the Jeep Gladiator and updated Honda Ridgeline enjoyed stable sales. Trucks getting long in the tooth—Nissan Frontier, we’re looking at you—pretty much cratered. Then the pandemic hit. While its effects will truly show up in Q2’s numbers, Q1 reveals a segment split by winners and losers.
