2019 GMC Sierra AT4 Off-Road Performance Pack Cranks Up the 6.2L V8 Horsepower

2019 GMC Sierra AT4

GM is feeling the heat in the pickup truck horsepower wars, and is firing back with a little boost for its biggest half-ton V8.

GMC is cranking up the output on its big 6.2-liter V8, rating the engine at 435 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, a boost of 15 hp and 9 lb-ft over the standard 6.2-liter V8. That is achieved thanks to a cat-back performance exhaust system and a performance air intake. These accessories have been available from GM for some time, but never before has the brand released an upgraded power figure.

The other upgrade that comes with the off-road performance pack are 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires.

Other than that, the off-road uprgadres are all those that are included in the AT4 package, like a two-inch lift, two-speed transfer case, a rear locker, skid plates, Rancho shocks, Hill Descent Control, traction select system and more.

Pricing for the Off-Road Performance Package adds $4,940 to the price of the AT4, which starts at $52,295 for a double cab model. The truck is on sale at GMC dealers right now.
