The successful Ford E-Series full-size van has ended production. This allows Chevy Express and GMC Savana to assume the lead and significantly grow sales. The Express full-size van sold 6,142 units in September and grew 17.3% over the same month of last year. The Savana has so far doubled its sales year-to-date (YTD).

There is a large influx of all-new commercial vans coming to the market, but many fleet customers still prefer the older designs. However, Ford is using all of their industry relationships developed with the E-Series to get a successful launch for the big 2015 Ford Transit. It sold 1,225 units and jumps over the Nissan NV into the seventh place for the month.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has also improved one place to fourth as it hopped over the GMC Savana. The all-new 2014 Ford Transit Connect van and wagon are finally getting sales traction as it sold 4,132 units and improved 29.6% for the month.
