GMC unveils the high-end of the midsize truck range with the 2017 Canyon Denali at the 2015 LA Auto Show this week. Why the 2017 model? It’s because it will not go on sale until “late 2016”. GMC gives us the first look at the chrome laden pickup.
The Denali line has been very successful for GMC across the entire vehicle range – from the Sierra to the Yukon. Now, the company hopes to extend the success to its smaller truck. GM is reportedly near manufacturing capacity with the Canyon and Colorado pickups, so the late 2016 introduction for this model is understandable.
The Canyon Denali is differentiated by 20-inch Aluminum wheels, chrome grille, and lower front facia, chrome side-steps, and a polished exhaust tip. GMC knows how to add a touch of luxury in an understated way. The little Denali will be available in six exterior colors.
The jet-black interior stands apart with Mulan leather and heated and ventilated front seats. Otherwise, it’s loaded with all the goodies as standard. Heated steering wheel, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, navigation system, 4G LTE, remote start system, and much more are included.
Pricing for the Canyon Denali is not yet available.
The Denali will also be available with the 2.8-liter Duramax diesel and the 7,700 lbs maximum towing rating in the 4×2 configuration.
Stay tuned as TFLtruck will be at the LA Auto Show to bring you all details about the new truck debuts.
