We now have more details about the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss. This truck will be shown in this year’s Super Bowl LVII commercial that features Will Ferrell. Here is what we know.
The truck rendering you see here comes directly from Chevrolet. A company spokesperson says this image closely depicts a production electric Trail Boss truck that is coming in the near future. When is it coming? We don’t know for sure yet.
We know that the all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV work truck goes on sale this spring (within the next couple of months). The Silverado EV will be initially available to fleet customers. The consumer-focused Silverado EV RST will also reach new owners this year.
Chevrolet initially teased that an electric Trail Boss was coming, and now we have more confirmation. I estimate it to be a 2025 model-year vehicle that will be available for purchase in 2024. However, this is NOT an official statement by Chevrolet.
The Silverado EV shared the Ultium electric architecture with the current GMC Hummer EV truck and SUV. It also shares components with the upcoming GMC Sierra EV pickup truck lineup. This means it may have two or three electric motors, all-wheel-drive capability, and more. Height-adjustable suspension and four-wheel-steering are also on the table as possible features for the Trail Boss truck.
