Yes, the 2023 Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L will come with the V8 options like before. The big news is the debut of Stellantis’ turbocharged, 3.0-liter, inline straight-six “Hurricane” engines.
The 2023 Wagoneer L will offer a standard 3.0L Hurricane Turbo I6 with a rating of 420 horsepower @ 5,200 rpm. and 468 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500 rpm. Yep, this new “standard” powerplant produces more power and torque than GM’s premium 6.2L V8. When you move up to the more luxurious 2023 Grand Wagoneer L, you can choose a high-output Hurrican I6 engine with 510 horsepower @ 5,700 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500 rpm. While the standard turbo engine can be run on regular 87-octane fuel, the high-output version requires premium 91-octane juice.
