Stashed away in the back of the 101 Motors showroom is a one-of-a-kind SEMA concept truck from 2006. I get a special look at the truck and the rest of the collection. Join me in the video below for a personal walkaround and an up-close look.
For me, the star of the collection is a Chevy Colorado V8 crew cab Z71 4×4 concept. This concept was created to showcase a new design direction for Chevrolet trucks at the time. It’s also packing a 320-horsepower 5.3L V8 and a 4-speed 4L65 automatic transmission.
Chevy Colorado V8 Concept Truck
While this inventory includes an 800-horsepower Brabus Mercedes G-800, a supercharged V8 Jeep Wrangler, the Chevrolet concept trucks caught my eye. In particular, this Z71 4×4 Concept truck combines some production running gear with futuristic looks. This concept’s suspension has many parts in common with the Hummer H3T. Under the hood is a production-based 5.3L V8. While it’s an off-road concept, it is rolling on 20-inch wheels.
Take a look at those giant front tow hooks!
