Spied: New Kia Tasman 4X Pickup Truck Spotted in Florida! But Why Is It Here?

Will it be sold in the USA?

Take a look. It appears to be a production 2026 Kia Tasman 4X midsize truck. That’s not that interesting at first because the Kia Tasman has made its world debut in South Korea and other regions. What catches attention is that it’s a standard U.S. car carrier semi truck that is going south on I-95 in Florida. What’s going on? Kia Tasman is not supposed to be sold in the United States. Let’s dig in!

These images come to us courtesy of Trevor Campos. Thank you Trevor. Here is what Trevor has to say.

I saw this Tasman on a regular car hauler on my way home from work today, going southbound on I-95 in St Augustine, Florida. I thought you guys might like to see it. These are the only pics I could get safely. I thought Kia wasn’t selling these in the USA? Anyways, I love the videos and have been watching for years! Keep up the great work!

Once again, Trevor is correct. Kia currently has no official plans to sell or build the Tasman in the United States. It’s a body-on-frame pickup truck that will compete against the Toyota Hilux, the Ford Ranger, and others in several markets around the globe.

We do not know why this particular truck is in currently in Florida. It appears to be a production model. It also appears to have some new vehicle packaging still on it (see those small blue foam pads on the doors?) The best guess is that this truck belongs to Kia and it’s in Florida for a private or public show/showing or it will undergo some testing.

Kia has been testing camouflaged Tasman prototypes in the United States for many months. Here is another Tasman prototype in Nevada. Manufacturers often test vehicles around the globe even though they may not be on sale in all regions.

Here’s Tommy detailed walk around of the Kia Tasman pickup truck lineup from South Korea.
