Sales Report: Ram Truck Sales Continue to Decline, But Ford, GMC, & Toyota Sales Are Gaining in Q3 2024

fullsize truck sales report numbers

Overall sales results for the Q3 of 2024 are almost even to where they were a year ago. Ram trucks continue to lose sales in a huge way. They are down by -19%. Chevrolet trucks are also not doing good. The Silverado sales declined by -7.3%. However, Ford F-Series, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra are on the rise. Here are the biggest movers, shakers, and losers. Let’s dig in!

When you combine the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra sales – they are the most popular full-size pickup truck in America by a big margin. The gap between the GM Trucks and the F-Series trucks is shrinking. The GMC Sierra brand sales numbers are getting fairly close to the Ram Trucks overall numbers. This is worrisome for Ram.

If you focus on the electric pickup sales, they are growing and the Ford F-150 Lightning is currently near the top. We do not know exactly how many EV pickup trucks Tesla, Rivian, or GMC Hummer sold. They either report these numbers at a later date or combine their numbers with other vehicles in their lineup. We know exactly how many Silverado EV and Sierra EV trucks were sold and this number also continues to grow.

Since General Motors breaks our their numbers by pickup truck classification, we can take a closer look below. Ford and Ram do not separate their full-size and heavy-duty truck sales numbers.
