Take a look! Here we have a first image of the updated new 2025 Chevy Tahoe PPSS. This is the Tahoe with a Police Package and Special Service equipment. We have some details and specs on this newest police vehicle from the online version of the GM Fleet Order Guide. Let’s dig in!
This rendering is the only image we currently have for this new 2025 Chevy Tahoe police vehicle. It appears it has black painted steel wheels , special front end with additional emergency light. There is a spot light mounted to the driver side a-pillar. Chevrolet has been supplying police versions of their Chevy Tahoe SUV for many years and generations of the vehicle. This is the latest 2025 version. This Tahoe PPSS will be solely powered by the existing 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 3.23-to-1 rear axle ratio.
There will 2WD and 4×4 versions of this SUV. The Police Package Vehicle (PPV) version of this Tahoe will have a trailer towing rating of up to 6,000 lbs. Other versions of the Special Service Vehicle (SSV) will be able to tow up to 8,200 lbs when equipped with a maximum towing package.
Fleets will be able to equip these Tahoes with a 40/20/40 split front bench seat, or two bucket seats. Various levels of the surround-camera views and driver assistance technologies will be offered in this new special 2025 Tahoe. Police departments and other fleet customers will be able to choose the level of technology and pricing that works for them. We usually do not get per vehicle pricing when it comes to these fleets. These are prices are usually negotiated on a case by case basis. If we get any more details, we will update this story.
Civilian versions of the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban are coming by the end of this year (late 2024).
