Meet the Halevai Model2050 – a new boat that rethinks what a work & play boat can be and should be. It’s a new company with a new 24-foot tri hull electric boat that can seat up to 10. Here are all the details!

The design is a cross between a traditional deck boat, a pontoon, and a center-console fishing boat. The fiberglass-infused E-QXCFM 3515 hull is designed with efficiency in mind. It’s a one-piece design with a tri hull shape. The company says, this type of hull requires far less power to bring it on plane and to move it through the water. The boat is approximately 24 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. This size and a 4,800-pound base weight make it easily trailerable.

The boat can be configured with a choice of two electric motors and a choice of battery sizes. The base battery size is 75 kWh with an option to upgrade up to 100 kWh. This type of boat does not require a huge battery. The company says the Model2050 can go up to 50 nautical miles (NM) on a full charge. It has a cruising speed of 20 knots (23 mph) and a maximum speed of 30 knots (34.5 mph). This boat can be configured with up to 300 horsepower.

The boat has a relatively shallow draft of 21 inches, and a bridge clearance of 112 inches. This makes it a good choice for intercostal water ways or lakes. The zero emission and quiet operation of this boat can be perfect for government/fleet use or many watersports or wildlife watching enthusiasts.

The boat has level 1 (up to 3 kW – 110 volt) or level 2 (7 kW – 220 volt) charging capability. This boat can be fully recharged overnight. Another big benefit of this boat is its “refueling” cost. Depending on how much your energy costs, you could fully recharge this boat for as little as $11. Of course, this price can be higher in certain regions.

Halevai lists the starting price of Model2050 at $185,000. The boat with a larger battery option lists at $225,000. It’s made in the USA. It’s difficult to pin down which other boats the Model2050 compete against. Its design and capability are unique in the current market. Local or federal incentives may aide with purchasing of this boat.

I have not personally experienced this boat yet. I hope to do so in the near future. For more information, refer to the Halevai website.
