With this new Flash, the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning now has six trim level options.
If you’re looking to make the jump to Ford’s all-electric F-150 Lightning, you could expect to spend anywhere from just over $50,000 to a little over $90,000 for the fully loaded Platinum. Now, the new 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash splits the range right down the middle, offering a feature set and pricing between the XLT and Lariat.
Ford calls the Flash a “tech-forward” model, and in practical terms that means bundling in the extended-range battery and standard equipment and a 15.5-inch touchscreen — a feature you’d normally have to order a Lariat to receive. Current EPA estimates peg the F-150 Lightning ER at 320 miles of range with a 131-kWh battery, to the Standard Range’s 230 miles with a 98-kWh pack. The Flash also gets an 8-speaker B&O sound system, power tailgate, wireless charging pad and Tow Technology Package with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, On-Board Scales and an integrated trailer brake controller.

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning models including the flash also get a heat pump to improve battery efficiency in colder areas. Higher-end models now get BlueCruise 1.2 as well. Ford’s hands-off semi-autonomous system narrows the gap between GM and Tesla, and version 1.2 adds a few major features: In-Lane Repositioning, Lane Change Assist and Predictive Speed Assist (which automatically slows the truck down for curves and reduced speed limits).
Price walk
Beyond just announcing the F-150 Lightning Flash, Ford also announced pricing for the rest of the electric truck’s 2024 lineup. The base model Pro is still available to order at $49,995 MSRP (before destination). The XLT starts at $57,495 for the standard range battery, then there’s a significant price gap to account for the XLT with the extended-range pack.
The Flash, which only gets the ER battery, starts at $69,995.
At the upper end of the range, the F-150 Lightning Lariat starts at $77,495, while the Platinum comes in a little lower than 2023, at $89,995. However, Ford did add in the more expensive Black Edition that technically tops out the range at $97,995.
For those keeping score, here’s how pricing shifted from 2023:
| Trim | 2024 Price (Before destination) | Difference from 2023 |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $49,995 | Same as before |
| XLT | $57,495 | +$2,500 |
| Flash | $69,995 | — New — |
| Lariat | $77,495 | Same as before |
| Platinum | $89,995 | -$2,000 |
| Platinum Black Edition | $97,995 | — New — |
Ford says the entire 2024 F-150 Lightning lineup, including the Flash, will be available to order early next year.
