2025 cadillac escalade iq electric suv debut

The brand turns over a new chapter as the all-new and first-ever electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ makes its world debut. If you were worried that Cadillac may make this new Escalade smaller or less powerful than its gasoline counterparts – you can rest easy. The Escalade IQ will be sold alongside its gasoline and turbo-diesel Escalade counterparts into the foreseeable future.

The all-electric Escalade IQ is about as long as a long-wheelbase traditional Escalade ESV (or the size of a Chevy Suburban). Here are all the details we know so far, including the starting price.

2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Overview

The electric Escalade is built on the same Ultium electric architecture that underpins the GMC Sierra EV and Chevy Silverado EV pickup trucks. It uses a large 24-module battery pack that contains at least 200 kWh of energy, according to Cadillac. The total driving range is listed at 450 miles.

It’s a dual-motor setup with a total of 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. The front and rear motors deliver AWD capability and a sub-5-second 0-60 MPH acceleration. This luxury liner has a height-adjustable air suspension, the latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 dampers, and four-wheel steering.

The four-wheel steering enables Cadillac “Arrival Mode” (aka. GMC Hummer Crab Walk). It also makes the Escalade IQ much more maneuverable. It has a 39.4-foot turning diameter, according to Cadillac.

Since the Ultium battery system is capable of 800-volt fast charging, this Escalade can gain up to 100 miles of driving range in about 10 minutes, under ideal conditions. This new Escalade IQ Sport is shown with a CCS charging port, but NACS/Tesla charger port integration will be provided.

This is a three-row full-size SUV.

The front two rows that are shown in this vehicle are of executive quality. These four seats are heated, ventilated, and offer massage and reclining. The third row in the back is a bit more traditional (like it is in a current Escalade).

The driver and front passenger are presented with a beautiful 55-inch curved LED infotainment screen. The driver can view a larger portion of the screen, and the front passenger can utilize their section of the screen for entertainment without distracting the driver.

The Escalade IQ will offer up to three years of included Super Cruise capability. This is a hands-free driver assist feature that works on around 400,000 miles of pre-mapped highways. GM Ultra Cruise (driveway to driveway) hands-free system will be available at a later time.
