Take a look at this! The 2024 Polaris Ranger XD 1500 makes its world debut and creates the next segment of off-road-ready side-by-sides that can do some serious work. The “XD” stands for “extreme duty”. It’s powered by a 1,498cc three-cylinder engine. It has a maximum payload of 2,110 lbs and a maximum tow rating of 3,500 lbs. This means it offers more payload than most 4×4 half-ton pickup trucks, and tows as much as a Jeep Wrangler. Here are all the details.

Polaris says the new Ranger XD is for those who want to do more and do it quicker. Whether it’s on a ranch, a farm, or out hunting in the wilderness. The XD comes with 15 inches of ground clearance and 110 horsepower. It’s 64 inches wide and 78 inches tall.
While it has over 2,100 lbs of total payload capacity, the bed itself is rated up to 1,500 lbs. It’s powered by the latest larger displacement 1,498 cc engine. The engine is backed up by a new steel-belted transmission. Polaris says this new transmission offers hill start assist (without rollaway), fine slow speed control, and longer life.

The new 2024 Polaris Ranger XD 1500 starts at $29,999 for a three-seater version and $32,499 for a six-seater. It does not replace any other Ranger SP, XP, or KINETIC (EV) trim level. The XD 1500 is an addition to the Ranger lineup.
We cannot wait to put the new Ranger XD to the ultimate real-world test in Colorado.
The current Polaris Ranger XP is already a capable off-road machine, as I found out in this off-road video comparison.
