Here it is! The all-new Ram Rampage makes its world debut in Brazil, but it’s not fully revealed yet. We get a short video clip that shows many angles of the upcoming new compact unibody pickup. Will it be the true Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz competitor in the near future? We will have to wait and see. Ram Trucks of the U.S. has not made any official announcements about this yet. However, Ram’s North American and Global design teams worked together to create this version for Brazil.
What do you think? It certainly looks like it’s ready for the American market (perhaps with a U.S.-specific powertrain). The Ram Rampage you see here has a digital gauge cluster with an engine redline at around 4,500 rpm. This may be a tiny turbo-diesel engine for the Brazilian market. If the Rampage comes to the U.S., it will likely have a gasoline and/or a gas/electric hybrid powertrain.
It appears to be about the same size as the current Ford Maverick. It means that the new Rampage will have to contend with the excellent efficiency ratings of the Maverick Hybrid (just over 40 MPG).
