Ram Rampage Mini Truck U.S. Patent Is Here – Is It Coming Soon?

There is a new U.S. patent filing for the Ram Rampage compact pickup truck. Thanks to our friends at MoparInsiders for finding this patent filing. Does it mean that the Ram Rampage is coming to the United States market soon? No, not necessarily. Here is what we know so far. Let’s dig in.

We know that the Ram Rampage is already on sale in other markets (such as Brazil). It’s a cool little pickup that could compete directly against the Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz in the U.S. To be competitive the Rampage would have to have around 1,500 lbs of maximum payload and 4,000 lbs of maximum towing capacity.

If so, it also needs to compete with the Maverick and Santa Cruz on price. It means, it needs to have a starting price (including destination charges) of under $29,000 or so. Can Ram do this when the Rampage pickup truck is currently assembled in Brazil? Could they shift production and suppliers to North America or the United States?

Take a look below, the Ram Rampage tail light resembles the American Flag. How cool is that!

What could Stellantis do with a Ram Rampage U.S. patent? This patent can simply allow the company to license and sell Ram Rampage merchandize. We will have to wait and see what happens. Ram is promising up to 25 announcements over the next two years. This Ram Rampage for the U.S. announcement could be one of them. We do not have official confirmation of this yet.

Here are some of the other images from the U.S. patent.
