Whoa! Take a look at this 1997 Ford F-250 4×4 turbo-diesel truck that is on sale at an Oregon dealer for $44,997. Is this the holy grail of older trucks or an overpriced used truck?
The dealership has an ad that lists this truck for sale as a 1-owner vehicle with 73,000 original miles. Under the hood is a highly desirable 7.3L turbo-diesel V8 with a 5-speed manual transmission. It appears to be stuck in time. As far as these pictures show – this truck’s condition is indeed immaculate.
This is an extended-cab truck with an 8-foot bed with a matching topper. The paint looks to be in very good condition, and the 6-person interior is in great shape as well. While this truck looks like it spent some time in a museum – it is still a 25-year-old pickup.
The 7.3L V8 diesel was rated at around 225 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, but it is one of the louder engines of its era. The maximum towing rating for one of these trucks was around 10,000 lbs. What price would you offer for this truck? Let me know in the comments below.
