The 2023 Sprinter vans and trucks will offer the latest generation of the 2.0-liter I4 turbo-diesel engine that offers more horsepower and torque than the outgoing V6. The latest engine is backed up by a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 4×4 versions of the Sprinter no longer offer a Hi/Lo transfer case. A sophisticated version of an AWD transfer case takes its place.
