Ford says that the new Ford F-150 Raptor R will make its official world debut on July 18th, 2022. Ford calls it “Scary Fast”! While all the specifications and details are coming in just a few days, the aftermarket is ready to help with power and performance upgrades. Whipple lists three performance upgrades for what they call “2023 Ford Raptor R”.
Naturally, when air is compressed – heat is created. This is why modern turbocharged or supercharged engines use intercooler systems to bring the air temperatures back down to a reasonable level. This way the engine can make lots of consistent horsepower. The Whipple website lists two intercooler upgrades that you see in the image below. They list it as “GT500” upgrade parts.
If that was not enough, Whipple will be happy to sell you a Raptor R 3.8-liter Supercharger system. They list it as Generation 5 of their supercharger technology. This is a large volume supercharger, and Whipple says it can support up to 2,000 horsepower (if the engine and rest of the vehicle are built-up to handle it).
Of course, part shortages or manufacturing slowdowns may delay many aftermarket components, so if you are interested in these power adders – you should call Whipple or tuning shops like our friends at 5StarTuning.com.

Whipple already has another supercharged solution for the Ford F-150 standard 5.0-liter V8 engine. It’s a 5th-generation 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. I have tested several of these 5.0L supercharged V8 trucks, like the Raptor conversions by PaxPower you see below.
