Check out this interesting Chevy Silverado Work plus Camp build by Tim Jordan.
Tim J. writes:
“I’m a 26-year-old welder/fabricator from Massachusetts. I lead a pretty busy life playing music, welding, and going on road trips. Last year, I combined all these interests in the purchase of a used Chevy truck, into which I put all my skills to work and built the ultimate work/camp/daily-driver rig.
Using the geometry of the truck bed, I can transform the space from a bedroom to a fab shop in a matter of minutes and find myself on a job site or vacationing up in the mountains. The truck itself is a bit of an oddball too, being a dealer-ordered, lumbering 4WD full-size WT model with a tiny but mighty Vortec V6. It is the rubber kitchen clog of the truck world.
I post regularly on Instagram (@tjprecision) to show some of the high-tech welding work I do, and there are a few auto fabrication projects that you might find interesting, including some hefty stainless stake trucks we’ve welded up. I would love to put together a video showcasing the various configurations of my vehicle, the apparatus I’ve constructed to make it happen, and maybe share a few road stories.”
