There is a new Ford off-road truck in town, it’s the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler. It starts as an XL work truck with an FX4 package, and it adds unique wheels, all-terrain tires, dark trim, and a dual exhaust system.
It will be available only in a 145-inch wheelbase crew cab with a short 5.5-ft bed or a 145-inch wheelbase extended cab with a longer 6.5-ft bed. Four engine options will be available with the Rattler package: 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6, 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, 5.0-liter V8, or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 electric hybrid.
Ford will announce pricing closer to its on-sale date in the fall of 2022. The 2023 F-150 Rattler will compete against pickup trucks like the Ram 1500 Backcountry edition.
