Chevrolet teases two features that will be a part of the all-electric Chevy Silverado EV truck. First, it’s the available (not standard) four-wheel steering capability. This makes a lot of sense for any pickup truck. Four-wheels steering has several benefits that include a tighter turning radius, better highspeed handling, smoother lane changes, and even better and heavier trailer towing.
I learned this first-hand when I went to the ZF proving grounds in Michigan to sample one of their four-wheel-steering systems (see the video below). ZF also supplies the four-wheel-steering system for the upcoming 2022 GMC Hummer EV truck and the Hummer EV SUV. The short video simulation that Chevrolet just published shows the rear-wheel steering at a relatively steep angle.

Chevrolet also says that the Silverado EV will have optional 24-inch wheels! Currently, luxury pickup trucks offer 22-inch wheels – so the 24-inch wheel option hints at an even more luxurious model. If you are worried about price, Chevrolet is planning to offer a more simple fleet version of the Silverado EV.
