Chevrolet announces model year 2022 Chevy Silverado HD lineup updates. The latest heavy-duty trucks will get Chevrolet’s Multi-flex tailgate that is now also available as an option on the Silverado 1500 trucks. This is a multi-position tailgate that was first introduced on the GMC Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD trucks. Keep in mind that the HD version of the tailgate is larger than that of the half-ton sibling, they are not interchangable.
The other notable 2022 update is the addition of a new exterior color called, Greenstone Metallic. The rest of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD options, powertrains, and features remain the same. It means you can still get these trucks in regular cab, extended double cab, or crew cab versions. The powertrains include a 6.6-liter gas V8 with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 with a 10-speed transmission.

The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD truck will be available for sale this summer. Expect these trucks to be available at the dealer starting in late June, July, or August.
