Here we have another close look at a 2022 GMC Hummer EV truck prototype testing in public on Michigan roads. This test vehicle may not have all of its production body panels or lights, but it’s still looking big next to all other vehicles on the road.
The truck was unveiled late last year, and GM says it will begin sales late in 2021. This four-door 4WD truck (aka. SUT) is based on GM’s new Ultium electric platform. It a skateboard chassis with the battery pack in the center (up to 200 kWh capacity is planned). It uses independent suspension front and back that is height-adjustable and equipped with active ZF shocks.

The vehicle is equipped with four-wheel steering capability and up to three electric motors for a total output of up to 1,000 horsepower. Here is everything else we know so far about the upcoming GMC Hummer EV electric truck.
