All-new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer Debut is Planned for March 11

Grand Wagoneer Concept

The all-new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer will make their official debut on Thursday, March 11, 2021. At noon eastern time.

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer are finally heading to production. We are about to see what these vehicles are all about. There is still very little “official” information, we know that the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be based on the current Ram 1500’s platform. Obviously, it will be a modified frame, but we don’t know-how. These vehicles will be the absolute top end of the Jeep spectrum. The Grand Wagoneer taking on high-end automakers like Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz.

You can see some images of the concept (here).

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be assembled at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant. Currently, that’s where the Ram 1500 Classic is currently being assembled. Stellantis/FCA will make the necessary alterations to the 3.31 million square feet facility to allow both vehicles to be assembled at the same time. Recently, they increased the investment in Warren to $1.5 billion. That will include tooling to produce electrified versions of the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

“The 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer return as a premium extension of the Jeep® brand and mark the rebirth of an American icon while continuing their legacy as the first modern SUVs. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer build on a rich heritage of premium American craftsmanship, heritage, and refinement while offering a new level of comfort, legendary 4×4 capability, and customer service.”

Stellantis Media

The reveal will be streamed online and available for public viewing on the Wagoneer social media channels:

We expect to see a variety of powertrains available for the Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Aside from the announced 4xe variants, we may see some high-performance V8s and (possibly) other forced-induction offerings. You can read about the 4xe reports (here). We will be covering a lot of Jeep debuts (including this one) in the near future.
