Take a look at these 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz prototype images that clearly show the rear and front light signatures of the upcoming crossover pickup. Big thanks to Roy Ortiz for capturing these images of the Santa Cruz and Hyundai Tucson crossover driving on a highway.

It’s very interesting to note that the Santa Cruz design includes these hammer-like horizontal tail lights that span across the tail gate. Most midsize and full-size truck tend to use vertical style tail lamps that attach to the bed sides.

The front Santa Cruz lights largely resemble the Tucson crossover. It makes sense, because the Santa Cruz is expected to use many of the same components as the Tucson. This possibly includes the power train choices as well, although Hyundai has not yet officially unveiled the Santa Cruz and its specifications.

Here is another official image of the new 2022 Tucson crossover for reference.

The 2022 Tucson crossover will feature an option of gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The new Santa Cruz may share some or all of these powertrains. We will have to see. The 2022 Tucson has a starting price of $24,950. We will have to wait and see more official details about the Santa Cruz.
