Ford has just published the 2021 F-150 ‘Quick Reference Guide’ that gives more details about most of the driver interface features, the F-150 Hybrid, and the new SYNC4 system.
The 2021 F-150 introduces the new Hybrid powertrain. This is a combination of a 3.5-liter twin-turbo gas V6 and an electric motor/10-speed automatic transmission combination. Total power output is yet unknown, but the system also uses a 1.5 kWh battery pack. Ford says that the total driving range of a Hybrid truck will be around 700 miles.
The reference guide says that the F-150 Hybrid fuel-door is opened by a push of a physical button that is on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. All other non-Hybrid trucks do not have this button. The fuel door on those trucks is opened manually/by hand. We currently do not have an answer why this is the case.
Here are some example of voice commands the latest SYNC 4 system can recognize.
Here are some of the 2021 F-150 measurements. This comes from a different document that is provided by the F150Gen14.com forum. The new F-150 dimensions are very close, if not identical, to the measurements of the outgoing truck.
There is currently no official information about the next Ford Raptor. However, prototypes were recently spotted in the wild.
Here is everything else we know about the new 2021 Ford F-150.
