Night Edition Ram 3500

The 2020 Ram 3500 Laramie “Night Edition” dually in this video is a long-bed 4×4 that’s nearly loaded. While it’s not the top-of-the-line Limited version, it is a special edition nonetheless. The Night Edition trim package gives truck shoppers an extra dose of style for their buck.

You can read about our 750+mile ride in a 3500 (here).

Our 2020 Ram is equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel making 400 horsepower and a massive 1,000 lbs-feet of torque. It’s bolted to an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission and comes with a 4.10 rear axle ratio. While those numbers are impressive, they are not class-leasing anymore, Still, we suspect the power ratings will change soon.

The Night Edition is basically a trim package. It gives you unique colors, wheels, badging, bumpers, lights and interior touches too. There are no performance gains with this package, except for possibly enhanced curb appeal.

Ram trucks says the current base price for a Ram HD 3500 is $35,095 (before destination charges) – ours is a tad more expensive. Our 2020 Ram 3500 Laramie Night Edition dually 4×4 has an MSRP of $85,275. While that is astronomical – it’s inline with other special edition models built by the competition.
