If you want a wide-body Chevy Silverado 1500 off-road truck with long-travel Baja style suspension – the new PaxPower Jackal may just be up your alley. Here is a close-up look and walk-around of the truck.
Chevy Silverado PaxPower Jackal
This first Stage-3 Jackal started life as a Silverado 1500 LTZ crew cab 4×4 with a 6.2-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The stock power rating is 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, but the Jackal is using GM performance air intake and exhaust systems to boost power to a claimed 442 horses.
The Stage-3 Jackal truck is seven inches wider than a stock Silverado 1500. It uses custom-made wheel fenders and hood. The bodywork is made out of fiberglass, but you can also order it in carbon fiber at additional cost.
Underneath are a long-travel Bajakits suspension with King adjustable, internal bypass, and remote reservoir shocks. The Stage-3 build is rounded out with ADD front and rear bumpers and additional lights.
The full Stage-3 build you see here costs about $35,000 over the price of a donor Silverado truck. Check out all the details in the video below.
