The New 2020 Nissan Titan Gets Pretty Much the Same MPG as the 2019 Truck (News)

Here are the numbers for the V8 and the new 9-speed auto.

The EPA numbers for the new 2020 Nissan Titan 1500 are out, and here are all the numbers. The 2020 Titan 2WD is rated at 16 MPG city, 22 MPG highway, and 18 MPG combined. For comparison, the 2019 Titan 2WD was rated 15 MPG city, 21 MPG highway, and 18 MPG combined. The combined number is the same as before.

The 2020 Titan engine is the same as before. It’s a 5.6-liter gas V8 with 390 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque on regular gas. Premium fuel now lets the engine make 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The big change for the 2020 is the new 9-speed automatic transmission. The previous 7-speed auto is gone.

The 2020 Titan 4×4 is still rated at 15 MPG in the city, and 21 MPG on the highway and still 18 MPG combined. You are not losing much efficiency by going from 2WD to the 4×4 truck.
