September was a great month for the midsize trucks in general: Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, and Nissan Frontier were the big winners.
Toyota Tacomas are still flying off the dealership lots in September 2018. Toyota is still selling over 22,000 trucks per month. Chevrolet is still enjoying improved sales of the Colorado midsize truck with a 26.3% improvement in Year-To-Date numbers. The Colorado firmly hold the second sales place for the month and the year.
The most improved truck for the month of September was the Nissan Frontier. Nissan sold 8,718 trucks during the month. This continues the up and down trend that we have seen for months. Still, the aging Frontier is doing better in 2018 than it did in 2017.
The GMC Canyon also had a great month, but it still struggles to move a large number of trucks when compared to the competition.
