Nissan Titan Trials: You Won’t Believe What We Found on the Trail (Video)

The Nissan Titan Trials video series was created by us to fully test the long term Nissan Titan PRO-4X. Towing, off-road bashing, family hauling – you name it, we either did it or will do it. So far, the Nissan Titan has done extremely well, but this video isn’t about its capability.

This time, the Nissan Titan was going to help us out. One of our main off-road testing areas, Gold Mine Hill on the Switzerland Trail in Colorado, was recently used as someone’s personal dump site. There was a good sized pile of rubbish that was recently dumped right off the main path. This is in the middle of a pristine forrest.

There’s no excuse for this and both Roman and I wish we could meet the jerk(s) that did this. So, equipped with gloves, trash bags and the Nissan Titan, we set out to clean up this mess. We found hundreds of hangers, lots of home improvement items (tiles, gutters, drywall trim etc.) cleaning tools (a ‘working’ vacuum cleaner, cleaner soaps, scrubbers etc.) and a ton of additional trash.

The most concerning item we came across was a hypodermic needle. Hopefully, it was for a diabetic and not a junky – but, either way, we had to make sure it was disposed of properly. Most hospitals and many bathrooms have safe disposal containers.

It was not the most exciting day, but it was pretty rewarding and we were glad that we had a big pickup truck that could properly off-road to the site and easily hold the crap once we picked it up.

In this video, you’ll see Roman, Nathan and our long-term Nissan Titan tackle a messy out-doors.
