Chevrolet is celebrating 100 years of trucks with the introduction of the 2018 Chevy Silverado and the 2018 Chevy Colorado Centennial Editions at the 2017 State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
Chevrolet’s pickup truck journey began with the introduction of the 1918 one-ton truck, which was powered by a 36 horsepower four cylinder engine and had a top speed of 25 MPH. Check out the video below for a look at 100 years of Chevy truck design.
2018 Chevy Silverado Centennial
All 2018 Centennial edition pickup trucks will be painted in the Centennial Blue exterior color you see here. The Silverado Centennial Edition will only be available in a well-optioned LTZ Z71 trim level crew cab. This truck is rolling on fancy 22-inch painted rims with chrome inserts. There are more chrome accents all the way around, and Chevy Heritage “bowtie” logos and badges can be found in the grille, on the back, on both front doors, and the accessory floor mats on the inside.
2018 Chevy Colorado Centennial
The Chevy Colorado Centennial edition will be available as an extended cab or a crew cab and only with the Z71 off-road package. Once again, the special edition is identified by a heritage Chevy “bowtie” logos and LT model’s 18-inch rims. Spray-in bed liner, accessory floor liners, and chrome exterior accents are included as well. Look for these Centennial Blue Colorados to be available starting in November 2017. Pricing is not available at the time of writing.
