Ford F-series widens its lead over second place Silverado with a 4.6% growth in July 2014. Ford sold 63,240 units, which is also more than the 59,585 trucks that Chevy and GMC sold together. Ford can still claim the F-series as the best selling pickup in the land.
Silverado was virtually flat in month-over-month and year-to-date sales, while the Sierra had a healthy gain of 5.5% for the month and 6.2% YTD. Ram was the big gainer once again. It saw a 14.0% improvement for the month and 19.0% YTD.
Although, Ram grew the most, it’s still not close enough to overtake the Silverado for second sales spot. Something drastic would have to happen for Chevy to lose the place.
