A TFL reader from Michigan recently sent us these images of a yet-to-be-released 2017 Ford Raptor in silver. We already know some of the details about the next generation Raptor, like the fact that it will be powered but the next generation high-output 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that will make more than the first-gen Raptor’s 6.2L V8 with 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque (in the F-150 the new 3.5L engine will produce 375 hp and 470 lb-ft). We also know it will be paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission that was jointly developed with General Motors.

What we don’t know are what, if any, exclusive colors will be offered on the Raptor. We have seen images of the truck in blue, white, and now silver, but it is also safe to assume we will see a red and black version of the truck as well. There was a sandy beige color on the first-gen but those are rare sightings so we may not see a return for that color. We also saw a light blue color at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show (see video below), although that may have been a one-off.

Ford is in the middle of releasing a six-part web video series about the 2017 Raptor components and features. Ford worked closely with BFGoodrich to come up with a Raptor-specific All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The next Raptor will also employ a sophisticated terrain management system with six distinct driving modes, including a special Baja Mode.

Those are the basics, but which color would you choose for the 2017 Ford Raptor? Let us know in the poll below and feel free to add your own option.
