It’s no secret that GM is testing their upcoming 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks. Here we have another look at GM’s next generation of pickup trucks. Let’s dig in!

Big thanks to TFLtruck viewer Joe “@jbeer89” on Instagram for sending these images. These images were taken in Michigan. Joe reports that he watched one of these prototypes accelerate onto a highway and it sounded like a turbocharged engine.

While General Motors is spending nearly $900 million on the next generation of V8 gasoline engines, they are likely to keep their 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder engine in these trucks as well. Currently, this engine is rated at 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.

The camouflaged pickup truck you see here is also sitting pretty tall. It appears to have a lifted suspension. Could it be a new Z71 and/or Trail Boss trim of the truck? The tires appear to be all-seasons (not very aggressive off-road tires).

What do you think it could be? Which trim?

Here is a look at what we think are 2027 Chevy Silverado HD and 2027 GMC Sierra HD Duramax turbo-diesel prototype trucks.
