PaxPower creates an F-150 diesel Raptor with up to 550 lb-ft of torque.
The standard Ford F-150 Raptor with a high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is the only configuration currently available from Ford. However, if you’re looking for a more unique powertrain option, PaxPower brings some new options to the table. First, we tested out a supercharged Raptor with a 758 horsepower 5.0-liter V8. Yes, you can have a Raptor with over 750 horsepower, if that strikes your fancy. But what if you want a Raptor built around Ford’s 3.0-liter PowerStroke diesel instead? They can do that too.
What you’re looking it here isn’t a standard F-150 Raptor with a diesel heart. Instead, PaxPower takes a standard F-150 diesel as a base. From there, they fit OEM Ford Raptor body, suspension and chassis parts to create a bona fide diesel F-150 Raptor. From “fenders to fasteners”, PaxPower pays attention to the details in giving their customers a Raptor with the engine they want, if they want something different from what Ford offers stock.
On the suspension front, PaxPower fits new control arms, front axle shafts, steering links, brake lines, sway bars, leaf springs and the Raptor’s signature Fox shocks. With the body, they take the F-150 Raptor’s hood, fenders, grille, trim, flares and accent lighting to create a factory-faithful diesel Raptor. Then, there’s the engine calibration. PaxPower ups the power output of the standard 3.0-liter PowerStroke engine to 300 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. That’s 50 more horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque more than stock. If you want to push those figures even higher, PaxPower offers more intake and exhaust options.
How much does it cost?
As for pricing, customers can pay $7,450 on top of the price for their PowerStroke F-150 for the Raptor suspension conversion. $24,950 all-in takes care of the full conversion. The standard truck is available in Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims, starting from $46,510 and up including Ford’s $1,495 destination charge. Once PaxPower completes the conversion, they can ship your F-150 diesel Raptor from their base in Houston, Texas to anywhere in the world.
