Is a new Toyota Tundra “Raptor Fighter” finally coming to production? Here are all the details that we have so far. Let’s dig in!
Toyota may be cooking up something that competes directly against the the Ford F-150 Raptor 37 and the Ram RHO. According to reports (by Tundras.com and TRD JON), current 3rd-generation Toyota Tundra owners have recently received a survey from Toyota Owner’s Intersection. This survey was getting owner feedback on possible names for a new high-performance truck model.
Here is a quote from the survey “This high-performance truck package is designed for off-road enthusiasts, featuring an engineered long-travel suspension and 37” all-terrain tires. With the truck’s unique wide fenders, high-clearance bumpers, and a powerful engine, it achieves exceptional off-road capability and performance.“
The possible names from the survey are:
- TRD Pro-S
- TRD Baja
- TRD Hammer
- TRD Iron
- TRD Quake
- TRD Bizurk
Toyota Tundra U.S. sales decreased in 2025. Toyota may need to add one or two additional trims or packages to the truck in order to bring back the excitement and possibly improve sales. Toyota has showed us two Tundra concepts over the last four years at SEMA shows that did not go beyond a show concept.
These are the Tundra Trailhunter Concept and the Tundra Desert Chase Concept. The Trailhunter Concept spun off the new Tacoma Trailhunter and the new 4Runner Trailhunter. However, this trim level is still not available for the Tundra.

This new owner survey points to something even more exciting. It talks about a wide-body off-road pickup truck with long-travel suspension and large 37-inch tires. Currently, the only pickup truck manufacturer that offers 37s from the factory is Ford with the Raptor, Raptor R, and the Bronco Raptor.
Do you think Toyota should move forward with this halo pickup truck to compete against the F-150 Raptor and the Ram RHO in the $75,000 – $95,000 price range?
Here is the Desert Chase Concept from 2021.
Here is the Trailhunter Concept from 2022.
