The midsize pickup segment continues its momentum and success in 2025 and it followed a huge recovery in 2024. The Toyota Tacoma has its best sales year ever in the United States. Wow, the Tacoma sales grew by 42.4% over 2024. This is in large part due to the 4th generation of the Tacoma being released in 2024 and ramping up to full production and marketing capacity.
Don’t ignore the Ford Range and the Jeep Gladiator. These midsize pickup trucks jumped up the ranks with hugely successful Q4 2025 and annual sales. Ford struggled with its production numbers in previous years, and Jeep generally overpriced the Gladiator before. It seems they are figuring things out and consumers are appreciating these smaller than full-size more affordable pickup trucks.

Compact Pickup Trucks
The Ford Maverick continues to impress with year-over-year and quarterly sales growth. Just look below! At the same time, the Hyundai Santa Cruz is struggling to keep its market share. In general, Hyundai had a great year in 2025, but the Santa Cruz was not part of that sales success.
Still, not other manufacturers are in this segment. Where are you at Toyota, GM, Honda, Ram, Nissan, and others?
