Want a small street truck with 300 horsepower? That’s what this Ford Maverick project offers up.

SEMA is in full swing this week, and it’s always chock full of enthusiast-focused builds from OEMs and aftermarket suppliers alike. That includes Ford, which brought both a souped up Raptor R as well and Maverick street truck. So, whether you’re wanting to tear up the dunes or the Vegas streets, the Blue Oval has you covered with even more power than you usually get out of either of these trucks from the factory.

The Ford Custom Garage Maverick 300T Concept is a project vehicle that codes the most important details right in the name. It’s still a turbocharged truck, but this time its 3.0-liter EcoBoost uses a beefier turbocharger from the Mustang. As a result, you get 50 more horsepower and 40 lb-ft more torque, taking the total output up to 300 horsepower (see what Ford did there?) and 317 lb-ft respectively. The truck also gets an upgraded Mishimoto intercooler, and a new front spoiler by Air Design, as well as a lowering kit from the Maverick Lobo and a Borla catback exhaust with black chrome tips.

Ford envisioned this concept as an upgrade path for 2.0L AWD versions of the XL, XLT or Lariat, and recommends picking up the 4K Tow package as it brings the sort of cooling and drivetrain upgrades that can handle the boosted performance figures. To help put the extra power down to the ground, the Lobo’s Goodyears are swapped out for a set of 245-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires (though Ford also recommends Pirelli P Zero Elect tires in a similar vein).

Why the recommendations? Well, Ford does in fact plan to make a version of this project available as a kit to buyers next year. That means you’ll be able to get this effectively as a turn-key upgrade solution, complete with the bronze wheels, decals and tailgate inserts as an aesthetic complement to the performance upgrades. The automaker didn’t announce pricing yet, but more information will be available in the coming months.

This beefed up Raptor R puts out a cool 900 horsepower.

It’s probably one of the worst kept secrets in the industry right now that Ram plans to reintroduce the supercharged Hemi-powered TRX to its lineup. Since that reveal is imminent, Ford needs to get a word in on its existing Raptor R. The stock truck is already insane enough with 720 horsepower…but that doesn’t mean it lacks room to push any further.

Naturally, then, this particular Motorcraft-emblazoned F-150 Raptor R packs even more horsepower. That’s pretty much this truck’s whole schtick, as it packs a massive 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger that ranks the output to “900-plus” horsepower.

Beyond the sheer grunt, this project build further gets a Borla exhaust, Method wheels, more Rigid auxiliary lights and a few changes to the livery over your “everyday” Raptor R. Again, owners can expect to pick up the beefier supercharger package through the Ford Performance Parts catalog. When installed by a dealer or ASE-certified technician, Ford backs up the supercharger with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. It’s also 50-state/CARB legal, so if the standard truck just isn’t powerful enough for you and you’re just that mad, have at it.
