2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Doesn’t Change Much Ahead of an Expected Revamp, But There Is a New RST Select Special Edition

Chevrolet announced a new RST package as part of its 2026 model year changes.

We’re not too far away from a major Chevy Silverado revamp in 2027, but that doesn’t mean the company isn’t making some tweaks to sell trucks here and now. One such change for the upcoming 2026 Silverado 1500 lineup is the RST Select: a package that Chevy contends offers up a modern, sporty and affordable package for interested buyers.

To that end, the 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 RST Select is available in both 2WD and 4WD crew cab configurations, or as a 2WD double cab. The special edition package brings in 20-inch gloss black wheels, all-terrain tires, 4-inch tube steps, a spray-on bedliner and all-weather floor liners front and rear. The RST Select is available in five of the same standard colors as the standard RST trim: Summit White, Black, Sterling Gray Metallic, Riptide Blue Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat.

There’s a new “White Sands” exterior color for the 2026 Silverado 1500, and it will be available as one of the options for the RST Select. Another new shade, Polar White Tintcoat, will be available for other Silverado 1500 trims.

The 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 RST Select will exclusively be available with the 2.7-liter TurboMax engine. With that, you’re locked into 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque from four cylinders. You also get an 8-speed automatic transmission, rather than the 10-speed unit founds on the V8 trucks as well as the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel. If you want any of the other powertrains and that 10-speed, you’ll have to stick with the regular RST.

Right now, the Silverado 1500 RST Double Cab 2WD starts at $53,640, so we expect the RST Select to start right around $54K, rising through the rest of the $50,000s price band depending on whether you spec it with a crew cab and four-wheel drive.

2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks should be hitting dealers in the coming weeks, later in the summer and into early fall.
